Abbie Steele

Abbie has danced since the age of 2 and went on to train professionally at Morea Performing Arts where she was the first to be awarded the Lyn Richardson Scholarship.

Abbie trained in everything from Musical theatre to Contemporary to Acting and everything in between. Alongside her training she also studied for her Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) with the ISTD. Completing these exams for Ballet, Tap and Modern. She was very lucky to be coached for these by incredible teachers, most of which are the creators of the syllabi.

Abbie has a huge passion for dance and performing arts and loves being able to share that with the younger generation. Watching the growth in her students from week to week is her favourite aspect of teaching.

Abbie is also a performer as well as a teacher. Graduating in 2020, Abbie is just at the beginning of her performing career. She was lucky to work in the Summer as a dancer for Garsington Opera in their 2021 Summer season. Abbie was also very lucky to be one of the dancers on the creation and launch of the ISTD’s brand new contemporary syllabus. Working closely with Dr Ross McKim as he developed it.

Abbie is so excited to a part of DPA!
